Summer Bucket List: sleepover

Bates got to have his very first sleepover! We attempted to use it as a bribe, I mean reward for good behavior at his first swim lessons. Well, Bates freaked out and scream and hollered and yelled “momma” the entire 45 minute class. Bates loves to swim and loves the water- he just was NOT a fan of the new environment.
But, because I’m a sucker, and we had already promised- the sleepover happened!
Parker and Bates had a blast! These two play so very well together!!

Please note little brother in the background. He rocked the 3rd wheel!

We played trains, rode the gator in the dark, and Parker and Bates played legos for almost an hour after Brodie went to bed.

I made them a pallet in the floor and put on a movie. It was WAY after bedtime and Parker was out like a light before the previews ended, I think. Bates curled up on the couch with his daddy and followed suit. Bedtime- easy peasy!

At 6:23 my bedroom door opened and in walked Parker followed by a sleepy Brodie. Parker said “I was looking for Bates”. Parker had gotten up and gone to the boys room to find Bates but only found a sleeping Brodie since Bates was in our bed! 6:23 was a much earlier morning than we normally do at the Brown house!
After breakfast, we spent most of the morning outside- we played on the slip and slide….

But the hit was “car was” these three spent hours washing the gator. Best and cleanest entertainment ever!

For a mid morning snack, we made pretzels and used the opportunity for a little letter lessons. B,b, and P!

Sleepover success! I think we may get one or two more squeezed in before school starts again!
