soccer season

Saturday morning,  the Red Team wrapped up their soccer season.

I could not be more proud of my boy. I may be a bit biased, but since I am the coach, I’m naming him Red Team Most Improved Player!

We went from not even putting our feet on the field and lots and lots of tears to a little soccer star who would run and engage in the game. He would kick the ball but would get a little overwhelmed if the crowd of kids got near him and he wasn’t into going to take the ball from anyone. But he’s come so far.

And, get this… he scored a goal!!! Our last game, my Bates scored!!!!

Thanks to Emily for the assist, he got to kick the ball in!!!

Now there was still some hand holding and maybe one meltdown.

But there was a whole lot more of this…

And little brother hung in there and cheered his big brother on! He can’t wait to play next year!
