This weekend the boys spent the entire weekend at their Gamma’s and Grannanny’s house. Nick took the boys to meet his mom on Friday night and I got busy doing laundry and cleaning up the house!
When Nick got home, we finished some laundry and caught up on a few of our shows on the DVR. We are about 6 weeks behind on House. Ah, well.
I was sad on Friday night, it was Brodie’s first night away from us. We have left him once before, with Anna and Chase, but they kept him at our house which meant going to bed in his bed. Of course, Brodie just went with the flow and after just minute of whiney laid right down and went to sleep!
Saturday morning, Nick and I had our small group’s Christmas party- breakfast at Readyville Mill and it was yum-o! We ran some errands on the way back in town, mainly stopping to look for me a new camera!
My poor camera died. Yep, the week before Christmas and I was unable to take pictures. Well, I take that back. The lens died. It had a good life…. 4 years and thousands, maybe even millions of pictures taken. The camera body was still in good shape, but I was hoping for an upgrade and not just a new lens. Nick agreed saying a good camera is an investment in our families memories. Yep, my man gets it!
So after taking 2 hour naps, we headed out looking at cameras. I did a little research but wanted to actually purchase it and go home with it and not have to wait on it to come in the mail and chance it not being here for Christmas.
A few places, a couple of options, and a discuss over dinner at Chuy’s - I was the new ecstatic owner of a new Nikon d5100!
Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday to me!!!
And the boys had a fantastic time at their grandparents and are already looking forward to their next slumber party!

Woohoo for a new camera and dinner at Chuys!
