Christmas, round one

Sunday afternoon, we headed to Nick’s grandmother’s (Granny) house for our first round of Christmas. It works out that she does Christmas on the Sunday before Christmas, even though this year she threatened to do it on actual Christmas.

I could not wait to get my hands on my babies. Boy I missed them!

And time to put my new fancy camera and all it’s million settings to work!

We started out outside but after a few tumbles by both boys on the wet and muddy grass momma said it was time to go inside… and well Brodie didn’t like that idea…. so he cried and then turned and ran.

Nick said he didn’t miss the boys as much as I did, but I’ll let these pictures speak for themselves.

We played in the floor and wrestled around keeping the two hungry tots busy until everyone arrived for lunch.

Brodie was a hoot wearing Katie’s necklace. It was on a long chain and he looked like a little gansta!

And finally it was time to open presents!!!!

And then, open them up so we can play! Thanks Aunt Linda for always having batteries!

The favorite toy was this remote control dino that Carter got. My boys loved it. Bates’ especially! He would just laugh and laugh as he made it chase Butch. And of course, if something looks fun Brodie wants in on the action!

We made Bates let Brodie have a turn. Brodie used it as a tv remote, or maybe a video game remote and wasn’t at all interested in the dino that he was controlling.

After a few minutes, we asked Brodie to give it back and he shouted "mine” and ran to the other side of the room like this….

Ha!

We played a bit longer before heading out. But not before Brodie hit up Tammy for some dessert!

The boys were literally asleep before we got out of the driveway.

We made a pit stop, where my old camera met it’s new owner! I was a bit sad handing it over. We’ve been through a lot together. This camera has seen some of the happiest moments of our lives. But my sweet camera has found a new home where it will continue to see the world. Talk about world travellers, this camera has hit the jackpot on a world travelling family!!! It’ll be off for it’s first trip just this coming week! God speed little camera!

One Christmas down, three more to go!!!
