Christmas 2011, part three

SANTA CAME!

And boy did the fat man deliver!

I need to have a chat with Charlie the elf, because I mean our boys are good, but are were they that good?

Santa left one big pile for the boys to share. Did you know Santa likes you to share your toys?

But he did leave to sections one for each boy.

We had to wake the boys up a little after 8. All I had to say was “bates, Santa came!” and that boys sat straight up like a rocket! I took him to look over the balcony at the goodies while everyone else got up and when he saw the presents his eyes got really wide and he said “kitchen!”

Watching the boys run into the den was one of my favorite moments. They both ran in and simply stood in front of the pile not knowing what to grab first! Bates went for the kitchen and Brodie grabbed the remote to Bates’ new geo trax train!

We spent the next hour or so exploring the pile and playing!

This is when Uncle Robert showed Brodie where the horn on the gator was. Thanks for that, brother!

Then the boys and Uncle Robert found the marshmallow guns!

And when gun shooting time is over, and you aren’t done playing, you just throw the marshmallows! (and please note my dad in the background still with the hat on)

A little bit more playing!

Oh, and let’s not forget Uncle William and his goodies from Santa! Can you guess where he is headed to college next fall?

Then time to get ready and head to Mimi’s for Christmas, part four!
