I asked the waiting child program assistant from our agency to pick today's child.
I
honestly don't know how she does her job, she looks at these beautiful
faces day in and day out... I'd be a complete mess, not to mention Nick
would hang me up by my toes cause I'd always be trying to convince him
we should adopt "just one more".
Erin warned me he is very serious in his pictures. I giggled a bit when I opened his picture. Serious, for sure!
After reading his description I knew he'd be a great fit for my blog postings!
He's a little peanut, described as small for his age. And we know I love some tiny peanut toddlers!
This
little peanut has struggled with chronic lung disease, which has caused
more than his share of pneumonia and bronchitis. I think of the nights
I've spent snuggled on the couch with Bates giving him his breathing
treatments. I know this little guy will have some breathing treatments
in his future and as I sit here on the computer, I can glance behind me
to the table where Bates' breathing machine, lovingly named "Puff" is
sitting.
My heart is sad
for this little fellow, he needs a mommy to snuggle him under a blanket,
watching his favorite show while giving him his breathing treatments.
He needs a daddy to bring him some water in the middle of the night when
he's coughing.
He needs a family.
Not
to mention, hello.... we need to see a smile on this peanut's face! Oh
my word, someone, please, when his family finds him I need to see a
picture of him on his daddy's shoulders, looking down at his momma with a
big ole smile on his face! That would make me oh.so.happy! Can't you
just see it now, side by side pictures.... this serious boy and then the
most joyous smile across his entire face!

or of course, I can point you in the right direction! This boy needs a daddy to tickle him and a momma to tuck him in!

Look at that room full of cribs behind him. My heart aches. Sweet boy, you are a precious son of the King! I pray your mama and daddy make their way to you SOON!
