Bates *thinks* he is a big boy. He very much only wants to drink out of "big boy cups".
Now when he wants some juice or water, he will get one of his plastic cups (not a sippy!) out of his cabinet and tell me "juice!". Today he got a cup out and said "wa-wa" and walked to the fridge.
In the past I would just put a little water in the cup and hand it back to him and he would drink it standing right there (and spill it on the floor) and we'd repeat like 20 times.
Well, today when I filled his cup, he walked into the den with it. I didn't care, sure there might be water on the carpet, but I was unloading the dishwasher and I could get it done 100x faster without my little helper.
He came back a few minutes later and asked for more "wa-wa" so I filled it a little and then he headed into the den with the cup.
Again, he came back with the empty cup... process repeated.
Once he was in the den, it was complete silence. Silence isn't a bad thing, yet, with Bates. He normally doesn't venture far from us, so he doesn't have an opportunity to get into anything. But I though I should still peek around the corner to see what he was doing.
After I saw what he was doing, I quickly grabbed my camera so I could remember this.

Yes, he was nicely sharing his "wa-wa" with Addie! These two are best buds for sure.
And the best part, on the way back into the kitchen for a refill, he would drink the very last sip.

ReplyDeleteAt least he isn't sharing with psycho dog! There are worse things than doggie backwash that he could be putting in his mouth. Gosh I love this little guy! Tell him Aunt LuLu loves him!
